Toric IOL is a precision alignment tool designed for ophthalmology professionals to assist with toric intraocular lens placement during cataract surgery. The App allows you to photograph the eye, place digital axis markers using a protractor overlay, and reference alignment information in the operating theatre. All data is stored locally on your device.
Toric IOL is intended for use by licensed healthcare professionals, medical trainees, and authorized personnel involved in ophthalmology and eye care. By using the Service, you represent that you:
Toric IOL is a reference tool only. It does not provide diagnostic or treatment recommendations. You are solely responsible for all clinical decisions, including IOL selection, axis determination, and surgical technique. The alignment information provided by the App should always be verified with your own clinical assessment and standard surgical practices.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of all data you enter into the App, including patient identifiers and axis measurements.
You are responsible for ensuring your use of Toric IOL complies with applicable healthcare data protection laws and professional regulations, including but not limited to:
You are responsible for obtaining any necessary patient consents as required by your jurisdiction, institution, and professional standards before photographing the eye or recording patient information.
Since all data, including eye photographs, is stored locally on your device, you are responsible for:
Toric IOL is provided free of charge. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or hidden costs. We reserve the right to change the pricing model in the future, in which case existing features available at no cost will remain free.
The App, including its design, features, code, graphics, and documentation, is owned by Optilima Ltd and is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for its intended purpose.
You retain all ownership rights to the data you create in the App, including photographs and case records. We do not claim any ownership of your data.

Toric IOL is an alignment reference tool and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. It is not a substitute for proper surgical training, clinical judgement, or standard axis-marking techniques. Clinical decisions should be based on your professional judgement and appropriate clinical resources.
While Toric IOL is designed to provide accurate axis alignment references, the precision of the alignment depends on multiple factors including image quality, device stability during capture, and the accuracy of marker placement. The App does not guarantee surgical accuracy and should be used as one component of your overall alignment strategy.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
While we strive to provide a reliable application, we do not guarantee against data loss. You are responsible for noting critical alignment information outside of the App as a backup.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OPTILIMA LTD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Optilima Ltd, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the App.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.
Upon termination, your license to use the App ends. We recommend exporting any important alignment data before terminating use.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App or on our website with an updated "Last updated" date.
Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiations. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Optilima Ltd regarding your use of the Service.
