Toric IOL does not require account creation, sign-in, or email registration. We do not collect:

Device Permissions

Camera Access

Toric IOL requires access to your device's camera to photograph the eye for axis alignment. Camera access is used solely for this purpose. Images are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to us or any third party.

Motion Sensors

The app uses your device's gyroscope and accelerometer to provide a real-time level indicator during image capture. This sensor data is processed locally in real-time and is not stored or transmitted.

Third-Party Services

App Store

When you download Toric IOL through the Apple App Store, Apple may collect data in accordance with their privacy policy. We do not have access to this data.

Toric IOL does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services.

Data Export and Sharing

Toric IOL allows you to export annotated alignment images using your device's native sharing functionality. When you choose to share:

  • The export is initiated entirely by you
  • The destination is chosen by you (AirDrop, email, files, etc.)
  • We do not receive or retain copies of any exported data

You are responsible for the security and handling of any data you export or share.

Healthcare Data Disclaimer

Toric IOL is intended for use by healthcare professionals to assist with toric IOL alignment. All data you enter is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party.

You are responsible for:

Data Retention

Because your data is stored locally on your device and not transmitted to us, we do not retain any of your data.

All content you create remains on your device and can be deleted at any time by you. Uninstalling the app will remove all locally stored data, including photographs and case records.

Since we do not collect or process your personal data, most GDPR rights (such as access, correction, erasure, or portability requests) do not apply in practice to the data stored locally on your device.

You retain full control over your locally stored data and can:

  • View all your data within the app at any time

  • Delete your data by removing individual cases or uninstalling the app

Security

Because all data remains locally on your device and is not transmitted to us, the security of this information depends on:

Modern iOS devices encrypt app data by default. We do not have access to your data and cannot view, retrieve, or recover it.
